Happy 2022! We hope your new year is off to the most lovely start and that your days have been filled with the beauty of new beginnings.

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, our friends at Upper Kirby Consignment are hosting  a book signing this Thursday, February 10 and we couldn’t be more delighted! We hope you will join us for a Valentine’s toast as we sign copies of Expressive Interiors: Designing an Inviting Home. It’s a great time to pick up special Valentine’s Day goodies for loved ones, and create your own special UKC wish lists!

READY TO HIT THE TRAIL?

The 86th Annual Azalea Trail that is! Hosted by the River Oaks Garden Club, this is one of our very favorite events of the year. As in past years, we will be preparing floral arrangements for the tour and we hope to see there!

The River Oaks Garden Club 86th Azalea Home and Garden Trail will take place March 4 – 6 and will feature magnificent Houston homes and gardens. Hopefully this watercolor sneak peek inspires you to pick up your tickets today.

Among private residences, this year’s Azalea Trail includes stops at Bayou Bend, Rienzi, and The Forum of Civics.

HAVE YOU SEEN US LATELY?

It’s always such fun to see the homes we pour our hearts and souls into highlighted here and across the globe. We’re sharing a few of our latest features with you just in case you missed them!

First and foremost, we were delighted to receive our copy of the 25th Anniversary Andrew Martin Interior Design Review Book where Lucas/Eilers Design was named one of the world’s top 100 design firms. Then Homes & Gardens kindly included us in a roundup of the 21 firms they handpicked as editorial favorites!

The Spruce shared ’27 Things To Hang On the Wall That Aren’t Framed Art‘ and included three of our portfolio images, including this one that demonstrates how heirloom plates can serve as a lovely focal point when displayed as art.

The team at Homes & Gardens requested our thoughts on everything from white shower tile and red living rooms to bedroom mirrors, bookshelves, and reading nooks. Read what we had to say via the images linked below!

INTRODUCING…

We are thrilled to welcome back a familiar face and  introduce another you’ve likely seen around the office. Julia Cole has rejoined our team as Business Office Manager and Cami Moseley has been serving the firm as Office Assistant for over a year. If you haven’t met these talented ladies yet, we hope you have the opportunity to do so soon!

Julia Cole
Business Office Manager

A Houston native, Julia earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas Christian University. Before joining Lucas/Eilers, Julia worked as a Commercial Bank Underwriter at several large financial institutions, including BBVA Compass and JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. She also spent two years abroad, serving as a volunteer for numerous community outreach programs in Papua New Guinea and worked as the Director of Business for a Chicago-based interior design firm. Julia’s strong finance and accounting background, coupled with her people and organizational skills allow her to excel in her role as Business Office Manager.

Cami Moseley
Office Assistant

Following in her mother’s footsteps, Cami attended The University of Texas at Austin where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Learning and Development. Prior to joining Lucas/Eilers Design, she supported a marketing firm in Dallas before stepping away to raise her two children. Cami grew up in a uniquely designed home that gave rise to an appreciation for interesting architecture and design, and she now enjoys working alongside the focused team of creatives at Lucas/Eilers Design supporting daily office operations.

“Love knows no limit to its endurance, no end to its trust, no fading of its hope, it can outlast anything. Love still stands when all else has fallen.”
