What fun to travel to Orlando to attend KBIS (Kitchen and Bath Industry Show) with Blog Tour 2017 presented by Modenus.

The design innovations and new products provided great inspiration to start the New Year.

The show was all about color this year from appliances to faucets.

The show was all about color this year from Smeg appliances to Grohe faucets.

Several great sponsors invited us to learn about their latest and greatest products. We are looking forward to incorporating these new elements in our upcoming projects.

This utility room designed with Wilsonart's new Rediscovered Oak was complete with a functional slat wall and dog wash.

This utility room designed with Wilsonart’s new Rediscovered Oak laminate was complete with a functional slat wall and dog washing station.

Wilsonart (our very own Texas brand) introduced four new woodgrain laminate finishes that perfectly represent reclaimed wood, including a realistic texture.

Beth Dotolo and Carolina Gentry created a Mid-Century oasis for a resort bath in Palm Springs (left), while Susan Jamieson incorporated old country motifs for a bathroom located in a Southern Classic Charleston manor (right).

One of our favorite parts of the show was the DXV designer vignettes. DXV is American Standard’s flagship luxury brand that showcases classic designs, re-imagined. Four designers across the country, Susan Jamieson, Richard T Anuszkiewicz, Beth Dotolo & Carolina Gentry, and Genevieve Ghaleb, had the opportunity to showcase their favorite products in a design that reflects their famous city.

Andrew Pike created an updated old world wine cellar from Metrie’s Very Square Finishing Collection

Metrie, formerly known as Moulding & Millwork, has evolved into a dynamic source for any and all interior finishing needs. They offer coordinating trim and interior doors, as well as pieces to create a stunning wine cellar of your own, as shown above.

Wellborn Cabinets showcased creative vignettes to illustrate ways their cabinetry can improve the storage and function of a space such as this mud room design and murphy bed wall.

An industry go-to for shop-built kitchen cabinetry, Wellborn Cabinets has evolved to provide “Whole Home Design Solutions” to provide elegant design and organization for every space in your home.

Everyone at Lucas / Eilers loves to entertain. Thermador’s new Star-Sapphire dishwasher is a hostess’ dream! This dishwasher will run an entire load in just 20 minutes. Additional upgrades include a shallow entertainer’s drawer for larger utensils, a wine glass caddy for delicate stemware, and our favorite element, an interior LED light.

We covered a lot of ground inside of the convention center, so by the end of the trip we were eager to kick off our shoes and relax. Karastan heard our cries and treated us to a fabulous evening at the Ritz Carlton. “Barefoot & Bellinis” was a blast, they covered the floor with the new Mohawk SmartStrand Silk Reserve Carpet so we could really experience its softness. You would never know it was not real silk!

Thank you to our friends and sponsors for such an inspiring trip to KBIS. Check out our Instagram and Facebook for other great products we found.
