THAT SUMMER FEELING

In times like these, precious memories of traveling and gathering with people we hold dear continue drifting through our subconscious. With spring in the air and summertime around the corner, we are dreaming of brighter days ahead. Though not a lot is certain at this stage, there is one thing we know for sure – as we continue to navigate this new reality for the foreseeable future, a slower pace of life is here to stay. And while we may not be able to make long term plans or take that exotic vacation we’ve been longing for, there are still many ways in which we can make the most of this splendid season.

Your bedroom should be a cozy retreat and that begins with exquisite linens. There are so many wonderful bedding selections and we source our favorites at Longoria Collection, Kuhl-Linscomb, Back Row Home, Tribute GoodsBiscuit HomeLeontine Linens and Plush Home. You can keep it simple or mix patterns and personalized elements. Whether you prefer soft neutrals or a pop of color, your bedding not only transforms the room, but also your mood. Add in a beautifully scented candle and a bouquet of fresh flowers for the ideal place to unwind.

Why not pamper yourself by creating a spa-worthy retreat in your very own bathroom? Stock up on plush towels, luxurious oils, and flowers for a tranquil, spa-inspired experience. Don’t forget a good book (hint, hint: Expressive Interiors is available for preorder now) or soothing music to enjoy during your bubble bath!

Fill your kitchen with fresh, seasonal aromas. Revisiting your favorite recipes or trying your hand at new ones can be a lovely way to  enjoy time with your family. And if cooking isn’t your forte, support local restaurants by ordering take out and you have the added benefit of keeping your kitchen clean!

An outdoor oasis is the perfect spot to enjoy an alfresco meal, refreshing happy hour sips, or a simple moment of relaxation. Whether you prefer sweet or savory, prepare your favorite indulgences, pull out your best serving pieces, and don’t skimp on presentation. If you’ve been waiting to use the good stuff, now’s the time.

Whether you’re channeling the Lovin’ Spoonful’s “Summer in the City” or “Summer Nights” a la Grease, we hope you’re feeling inspired for the warmer days that lie ahead!

Special Reminder: We are very much looking forward to the debut of our first book with Rizzoli! Preorder Expressive Interiors: Designing an Inviting Home today.
