The moment we’ve anxiously been waiting for has finally arrived! Our book, Expressive Interiors: Designing An Inviting Home, debuts TODAY and we couldn’t be more thrilled to share this momentous occasion with you.

It takes a village to produce a book and our amazing villagers have made this journey such an enjoyable ride. You could say the journey really began in 1995 when we opened the doors to Lucas/Eilers Design Associates, building enduring friendships with our clients, colleagues, and collaborators who made every project discovered within the pages of Expressive Interiors: Designing an Inviting Home possible.

If you’re receiving this, you’re one of our nearest and dearest and we are delighted to be sharing a selection of “sneak peek” images. Scroll on for a special note regarding our book tour and ways you can get your copy of Expressive Interiors: Designing an Inviting Home signed!

We had so much fun playing with fanciful patterns, antique accents, and soothing variations of blue to create a sanctuary in this primary bedroom explored within Expressive Interiors:Designing an Inviting Home. Photography by Julie Soefer.

Book Tour(Coming Soon)

Although we are incredibly excited to celebrate this milestone with you, your health and safety remain our first priority. With that in mind, our team made the very difficult decision to postpone our in-person book signings for the time being…but there’s light at the end of the tunnel!

We are thrilled to have a number of virtual celebrations on the horizon and we continue to monitor the situation in hopes that intimate in-person events can be held in the near future. More details to come on this very soon!

This is one of our favorite examples of going “light and bright” in the bathroom. A mix of marble and pewter creates a soothing, spa-inspired space you never want to leave. From the pages of Expressive Interiors:Designing an Inviting Home as photographed by  Julie Soefer.

With a vaulted wood-plank ceiling and floor-to-ceiling draperies, this room celebrates height! We really enjoyed contrasting rough-hewn elements with those that feel more crisp and tailored for a look that is led by its stately surroundings.
